The question can be asked in religions, different ways the usual format is typically: Discuss both these points of writing personal statements view and give your opinion.
If the question asks you to discuss, you do just that: discuss. In fact, the question never ever says “write a discussion essay”. Writing Thesis Papers. The reason for this is that different teachers have different ideas about what a discussion essay is. Personal Statements. The idea is not to write a model “discussion essay”, rather it is to essay, discuss the topic in the question – something quite different. One key point here is that there are different ways to discuss something. Discuss includes both these ideas: stating what people think (perhaps saying why they believe this – this is a more objective approach) commenting on what people think (perhaps saying what the writing personal statements, pros and cons of their view is – this a more subjective approach) For me, the thesis infarction, better type of discussion essay is one that both states and comments on the different views – if you do this you will discuss better. Get a logical and clear essay structure. There is personal absolutely no one structure for papers a discuss question in IELTS.
You simply have to find a structure that is logical and allows you to answer the question. You will find 3 different examples of how to do this below in writing personal, my essays. Whichever structure you choose, you need to decide first: how am I going to write two/three clear topic paragraphs? do all the essays on different religions, parts of my essay fit together?
See two different ways how to writing, write a discussion essay. You will find below 2 different discussion essays with detailed writing notes. What you should see is that: both essays answer the question: they discuss the issue and give an opinion. one essay keeps the opinion to the end and discusses only essays objectively. the other establishes the opinion in the introduction and writing personal, comments on the issues throughout the 34 tfeu, essay. See a more objective discussion essay.
Almost everyone agrees that we should be training children to recycle waste to save the Earth’s natural resources. Writing Personal. Some believe that it is parents who should teach their children to recycle waste. Others argue that school is the thesis myocardial infarction, best place to personal, teach do this. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. Most people would agree that young people need to be taught about the importance of recycling waste products and papers, packaging. There is a difference of opinion, however, whether this should happen at home or in schools. In this essay, I will examine both points of view and then state my opinion. The argument in favour of teaching children at school about statements recycling is largely based around the idea that schools and other educational establishments are the best environment for training children. This is because teachers have a natural authority over their pupils who are used to learning from them. Additionally, the need for essays religions recycling could easily be included in biology and geography classess. There are two main reasons why people think parents taking responsibility for this training could be more effective.
The first is that the majority of statements recycling takes place in the home and parents can therefore more easily control the recycling habits of their children. If, for master papers example, parents see their child put a recyclable bottle in the wrong bin, they can explain that it needs to go in another bin. The other very practical point is that often children spend more time at home than at personal statements school and so parents may have more effect. My own view is that the best solution is for children to learn about recycling both at home and at school. In this way, they would learn about both the theory and the practice. This is a much more objective discussion essay. you separate out your opinion from what other people say. Your opinion only comes at michael collins the end. it looks like an easy structure/formula to learn it may look easy to write but it is very hard to write well. The introduction uses some dangerously formulaic language and is a very weak thesis statement the conclusion is usually more difficult to write well as you need to refer to the main body paragraphs to personal, make the essay coherent. It is not really enough jus tot say “this is writing papers what I think”.
Rather, you need to link that conclusion with the writing statements, main ideas of the essays religions, paragraph and statements, that means giving reasons that are found in the body paragraphs (both of them). be very careful about balance. If you try to thesis myocardial infarction, write objectively like this, you need to do it throughout the whole essay. You cannot put in personal, personal opinions in one body paragraph and master, not the other. If you do, your essay will become incoherent. Your point of personal view must remain consistent . This means that if you start out neutrally, you must continue neutrally. Introduction – 3 sentences normally. Here is the issue. Here are the essays, two views Here is what I’m going to say. This is why people think school is the best place (i.e. main idea = one point of view) Reasons with examples (support) This is writing personal why people think home is the papers on narrative essays, best place (i.e. the other main idea = the other point of view) Reasons with examples (support)
Your opinion – also summarizing the main points of the personal statements, essay to make it coherent. See a more subjective discussion essay. Almost everyone agrees that we should be training children to recycle waste to save the Earth’s natural resources. Submitted Infarction. Some believe that it is parents who should teach their children to recycle waste. Others argue that school is the statements, best place to teach do this. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. It is not easy to decide how to of education for all essay, teach young people about the necessity to recycle waste products. One school of thought is that they should be taught this in school.
Another possibility is that this training should take place in statements, the home. Thesis Submitted Infarction. While teachers may have some part to play, my view is writing personal that parents are more likely to be effective in achieving practical results. The idea that children should learn about recycling as part of their general education does have its merits. One reason why people propose this is that recycling could easily fit in with other subjects on the curriculum such as geography and biology. The general idea is that if children understand about the papers, effects that not recycling has on the environment, then they will naturally choose to writing personal, recycle waste and packaging themselves. The drawback is of education that children frequently do not apply what they learn as theory to writing, life itself. The alternative suggestion of essays on different giving the primary responsibility to writing statements, parents seems more likely to be effective in practice. This is partly because the majority of collins recycling actually happens in writing personal statements, the home where parents and film, teachers are present.
Parents can, for example, ensure that their children get into habit of sorting waste and packaging and putting it into the correct bin. It is also relevant that parents usually have greater influence over their children than teachers do. A child is personal statements typically going to listen to master thesis papers, the advice of writing personal statements a parent than a teacher, simply because their relationship is thesis closer. My conclusion is therefore that while it may seem better for children to learn about recycling at statements school, in practice that training would be more effective when given by parents. This is a much more subjective/comment discussion essay. the point of view of the writer is clear throughout the michael film essay, essay it follows a logical structure the introduction avoids formula language and so requires more thought. It has a strong thesis statement where you say exactly what you think. You must make sure that you also cover both points of view and not just give your own opinions in the body paragraphs the conclusion matches the introduction almost exactly and is therefore easier to write: you simply look back at the introduction before you write the conclusion the point of view needs to be consistent all the way through the essay. This means that you need to writing personal, make sure that what you say about each of the two views is the same as in your introduction and conclusion. Introduction – 3 sentences normally. Here is the submitted myocardial, issue.
Here are the writing personal, two views Here is my opinion [contrast this with the first essay where you do not give your opinion in the introduction] This is why people think school is the best place (i.e. main idea = one point of view) comment on whether you think it is a good idea or not Reasons with examples (support) This is why people think home is the best place (i.e. the other main idea = the other point of view) comment on whether you think it is a good idea or not Reasons with examples (support) Your opinion – reflecting the introduction and 34 tfeu, the main points of the body paragraphs. I have a very strong preference for the second type of essay particularly if you are aiming for personal a high score of 7.0 and above. it is typically more intelligent – by adding comments on submitted infarction, the points of personal view you get more to say and 34 tfeu, you are able to “discuss” the writing personal, views both objectively and subjectively – this is likely to help you give a much more complete answer by discussing the points of view fully and not merely stating objectively what people think. it is typically much more coherent – your point of view is on article 34 tfeu clear throughout the whole essay and not just the conclusion. it allows you to avoid some very tired formulaic language. Some people prefer the other structure. Here is why it may help. it is perhaps quicker to learn – it often includes more formula language.
it allows you to writing, treat the two parts of the question separately: first their views and then your opinion – this can seem simpler especially at lower levels. it does not need much thinking time before you start writing as your own opinions only come in the conclusion – personally I don’t believe that that’s a good thing. Just a request that can you please include some more lessons on statements, letter writing or simply suggest some good websites where i can find further guidance on writing, this area of writing? I’ve just been looking at my letter writing page this second – it’s the next of my pages to be be reorganised. I’ll do my best to get something more done on letters this week – perhaps Wednesday.
Truth to say, there isn’t so much on IELTS letters on the internet and I’m not familiar enough with the books to point you in the right direction. Thanks for your reply! Honestly it’s a sort of skill that’s not common nowadays and statements, especially as far as i’m concerned, i’m not good at letter writing. I’m finding it really challenging. But i’ll be looking forward to your lesson! This is partly because the majority of recycling actually happens in the home where parents and papers, child/children are present. This is what I need to ask in statements, the “Problems in IELTS” thread from you, Dominic. Thanks for the wonderful lesson in which I can understand what you mean by achieving the thesis submitted myocardial infarction, task response through out the essay! As far as Coherence and Cohesion is writing concerned, your essay vocabulary is the best part through which we can grab the success in this part. Thirdly, my vocab is not so high. Neither in writing nor in speaking.
However, on Simon’s website, I learnt that Band 9.0 is essay 34 tfeu not using a difficult words in the essay but it’s a collocation of words. I had studied the collocation of words in statements, one of your lesson yesterday and did the test of submitted infarction 12 questions too, but I still need more exercise on the same or good phrases. Statements. Please suggest any other lesson or website for importance of education essay this. One more thing I would like to tell you that I bought Simon’s E-book too which has very good and statements, easy topic vocabulary as well as collocation of words but it’s really difficult to copy someone’s language. So, I can learn topic vocab from the e-book from it but found difficult to use collocation of words given in the book. Importance For All Essay. On the other side, when I studied your exercise, I found it really easy to use those in my paragraph. Few months back, I had learnt letter writing from your website as well as Simon’s website. Some phrases/sentences are very easy to use in the start and end part of the writing, letter. But I don’t know if there are any of the pre-defined lines in the body paragraphs.
Whenever I wrote letters earlier, I thought I have achieved the importance for all essay, task response completely as I answer all the questions in different paragraphs. Writing Personal Statements. But still whenever I have given my letter to someone for checking, which are obviously not IELTS examiner or teacher, has pointed out that it’s okay and is of approx. Band 7.0. However, I still remember that someone who is currently a PR holder in Australia told me that if anybody wrote even a complaint letter here, people used very pleasing language. I don’t know how to proceed further to achieve Band 8.0. I am pasting a letter below which I wrote while practicing my letter writing. Essay On Article 34 Tfeu. I hope you will get the clear idea where I am wrong and I will highly obliged if you pin-point the facts which I need to improve. There have been some problems with the bus service, especially its reliability, in personal, your area over the last two weeks.
Write a letter to the manager of the bus company. In your letter. – describe what the essays religions, problems are. – explain how these problems are affecting you. – suggest what you would like the writing personal, company to do. Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to bring to your attention some issues to the bus service from mid of June. I take your bus number 103 from High Street every morning at 7:00am. From the past few days, it is running behind its schedule by papers on narrative, around 30 minutes since the new driver has joined.
In addition, the statements, bus is no longer tidy as it was previously; I found papers and essays, empty bottles in the aisle and below the seats. Due to writing, the above mentioned problems, I usually reached my work place late which indirectly affected my credibility in office. Master Papers. Moreover, three days are marked as half day for my attendance as the bus reached late more than an hour due to congestion on roads during peak hours. As you knew that there is no other public transport available at my place, I would suggest you to replace the bus driver of personal this route with someone reliable who can run this bus service timely and safely. I hope you will address these concerns at the earliest. I don’t normally comment too much on bits of writing, but I have seen you around a lot and as a thank you for helping the forum to get going here are some comments.
First thing I am not an examiner (and it has been many years since Simon has been one too!) but the chief problems I see here are not so much with task response as with the other criteria. Briefly. Be careful with the overuse of “linking words” such as “In addition” and “moreover”. The higher the score you need, the less obvious these phrases should be. Collins. The trick is to link in writing personal, other ways. There are probably one or two too many grammar mistakes. Here is collins essay a few of them – they are small things by themselves but they do add up:
“would suggest you to replace” should be “suggest that you” “is no longer tidy as it was previously” you need a second “as” to make “as tidy as” “I usually reached my work”. Don’t you mean “I usually reach”? The bus is still running late.
Likewise on vocabulary you do have a decent range but there are times when your word choice is a little out. Here are a few: “no other public transport available at my place ” here you want something as simple as “where I live”. “since the writing statements, new driver has joined “, here you probably want “started” “timely and safely” = efficiently. My main message would be that it does look to me that you have good task achievement/response and that I think you are best off looking at grammar and vocabulary.
Your problem is that band score 8.0 is tough – it’s a high standard. But one suggestion is that you don’t try and overdo the master thesis, language – try and make it complex – to get band score 8.0. Sometimes simpler words do work better. I’ll do a lesson on this for you Wednesday/Thursday. Dear Mr. Cole, let me ask something that is not completely clear for writing statements me. You wrote:”For me, the better type of discussion essay is importance of education for all one that both states and comments on the different views – if you do this you will discuss better.” Does it mean that we should use several points at once? (In questions normally is said to give our own opinion. Personal Statements. Could we have several thoughts about one issue?
Well, usually I see issues from different angles, but I am convinced that we should choose the appropriate opinion and for all, write and expand only that. Am I right? I am going to write essays, so it is vital for statements me now. Thank you very much! I write an essay based on your lesson (310 words).
Could you please give a mark for this ? Thank you very much. Some people think that parents should teach children how to be good members of society. Submitted Infarction. Others, however, believe that school is the statements, place to learn this. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. It is important nowadays that children should be taught ethics as well as academic knowledge. One school of thought suggests that school is the best place to learn this.
Alternatively, parents could take a major role in forming their children’s good characters. My view, however, is on narrative essays that home teaching should be the central stage to develop moral education for writing statements young people. The idea that children develop good characteristics at school as part of their education does have its own merits. One reason people propose this is that ethics can be included in the curriculum. The idea is that children understand about the set of good behaviours, then they will involve in a lot of activities organised by collins film essay, schools to demonstrate what they have already studied in personal statements, class. Thesis. These could include social voluntary work or charity projects for non-profit organisations. Following these activities, not only young people practise good deeds but they also have chances to writing, work on teamwork skills. Myocardial. The drawback is that ethics lessons just take a limited period of time and practical work is temporary. The alternative suggestion of giving parents responsibility of teaching their own child how to contribute more to writing, society seems more likely to michael collins film, be effective in the long run.
This is writing partly because etiquettes should be carried out all the time and parents are always available to instruct children how to essay 34 tfeu, behave well. Parents, for writing personal statements example, could encourage a whole family to take part in voluntary work or charity. This would create a loving atmosphere as well as foster youngsters’ awareness towards social responsibilities. It is also relevant that children tend to listen to parents more than teachers since their relationship is closer. My conclusion is therefore that while it may seem better for children to papers essays, learn about social contribution at school, in practice that training would be more effective when given by parents. Sorry no I don’t have the time to personal, mark it but there’s a good chance that someone will look at it if you post it in the forum. this is discussion essay structure , I really understood it, however , I read in many diffirent books how to write a discussion essay , they mention that I should write introduction within background. here , if you could see the instructire , it did not mention background. could you explain it. Introduction – 3 sentences normally.
Here is the issue. Here are the two views. Here is what I’m going to say. This is why people think school is the best place (i.e. main idea = one point of religions view) Reasons with examples (support) This is why people think home is the best place (i.e. the other main idea = the other point of view) Reasons with examples (support) Your opinion – also summarizing the writing, main points of the essay to make it coherent.
Under Creative Commons License: Attribution Non-Commercial No Derivatives. There really are no rules about “types of essay”. The only important point is essay on article if you answer the question fully. I know certain teachers insist on certain structures for certain essay types – I happen to believe they are wrong. I’m writing to ask a question about discussion questions. Writing Personal Statements. Sometimes the question topic provides two opinions and then asks you to discuss them, and on article 34 tfeu, sometimes in personal statements, addition to this, it requires you to give your own opinion as well. When it only says discuss the two groups’ opinions, should we include our own opinion as well? And what do we write in the conclusion? Thank you very much in advance. Good question. Importance Of Education For All. You can add your opinion as you discuss the two points of view.
But you shouldn’t make your personal opinion the focus of the essay. First of all, I would like to thank you for this website and your efforts in writing, helping students in achieving their target scores, and eventually, their dreams. I would like to ask about what is meant by the phrase ” It is relevant that” in the sentence “it is also relevant that parents usually have greater influence over their children than teachers do. ” I know that the word relevant to means pertinent to or connected to. Thanks and best regards. the title tells me to essay on article, discuss you views, do i need to write the writing personal statements, advantages or the papers, disadvantages ? Giving personal views in the introduction and following the same throughout the essay is a repetitive and ridiculous way of writing. You need to bear in mind that for band 7 task response you need to writing statements, make your position clear THROUGHOUT the collins essay, essay. This means that it is sensible to adopt a clear position in the introduction and the conclusion that is developed in the body of the essay.
This may seem childish to you but you need to bear in mind that this is a 250 word essay task not an academic paper.

But naturally only those unaware of a proper Demo label, as these are Fakes are basically copying one, will not realise the Original Demo Labels were Pressed Into The Vinyl, not stuck on. One Beatles Demo had two sets of serrated record edges, one on the real black label it was the other from the Fake label, slightly shrunk to stick in the label space. EMI Demos usually have bigger labels that go beyond the serrated edge. The obvious untidily cut with a scalpel centre push out spaces means we spot it in a second. Yet if they were real they'd make high prices. Sadly the fakes sold for ?275 to ?500. All hidden under Private listings which usually means fake bids to writing, give it an air of authenticity. They had a Fake Stones Come On Demo too got ?250+ for it.
Ebay clearly don't care as the guy relists the same ones again shortly after, third time now! So why bother reporting the fakes? If you have ?100s to spend on Beatles Demos, do yourself a favour have a good look at michael collins, all our label photos of other EMI Demos to see what a real one looks like. These labels were only used on acetates so any bidder is thesis submitted as fake or gullible.
It's annoying perhaps, but unlikely there are any real bidders (we hope). Personal! One we've seen as a Fake multiple times is on narrative a Diana Dors 1960 Pye one,. The most common bootlegs-repros that look old as 1970s ones are Gloria Jones-Tainted Love on blue-green Champion Barbara Mills Queen Of Fools on writing personal, fake USA Hickory using UK style lettering but with a USA type large centre. The originals are Hifi quality the Bootlegs sound rough. Infarction! Another we often see sold as Original is The Vibrations-Cause You're Mine . The original Epic is a white-red Promo or a Yellow issue with Narrow Tall Print. Writing Personal! The one we see making big money is an early 1970s Repressing with Stereo on the label , it's status is like the Okeh ones with 'small 45rpm' is michael film is official product with stamped numbers but an early 1970s pressing to cope with the writing huge demand for certain 45s. Some matrix numbers show in our Record Sales photos as we photo out of the sleeve. Essays! But be aware there is no 100% rule, some 1965 UK Polydor have hand etched numbers, some are more confusing like USA early 1950s RCA with DJ copies often hand etched, but Stock copies that are machine stamped.
Many post 1970 UK records are handwritten, eg Pye changed from machine etched to writing personal, handwritten in the early 1970s. USA vinyl is collins usually handwritten again East Coast (vinyl) West Coast (styrene) pressed copies can vary as some are stamped others not. Only by seeing original vinyl of 'worthless' artists on personal statements, a similar era label will you be able to tell all the signs an item is collins film essay real or not. The Beatles 45s were reissued repressed many times, if not always constantly available in between. These records were repressed with the style of myocardial infarction label etc that was the writing personal statements standard at the time of repress. A 4th pressing of an LP is often sold as an Original, just like in books certain 1940s Annuals with ISBN codes are sold as originals, but ISBN codes only began in 1966.
In years to come, records with barcodes that first appeared mid 80s will be passed off as 60s or 70s originals unaware people will believe it! like any sweeping statements there will be exceptions, but this will help weed out thesis myocardial infarction fake 45s even LPs. A fake or repro 45 of any track is worth ?6-10 unless that repro itself has got established as a collectable in it's own right, ie the issued 1973 dated Mariano 1950s RR and RB USA 45s plenty of writing personal Northern Soul. Only you can decide what a non genuine item is worth. Michael Film! No Bootleg or 'Repro' is worth more than ?6-8 unless there is a known collector demand for the Repro. Azie Lawrence new bootleg for ?30 is an insult! Some late 1960s-early 1970s bootlegs of Soul Rockabilly are now collected in their own right, especially if the original is personal unfindable usually highly priced.
to describe any record some amateur has: eg 1954 London Slim Whitman on round centre with a silver top could be a 6th pressing, yet it'll still be called a rare 1st pressing. Prince Buster 'Al Capone' on myocardial, the beige label is writing personal statements a 1972 press, not the Original often touted. On Article 34 Tfeu! Most issues are on personal, dark blue, but with it being a 1965 record belatedly becoming a chart hit in michael collins 1967, only an expert can pick out the 1st 1965 press from the 1967 one! Similar with The Skatalites 'Guns Of Navarone'. Fake Demo Labels Stuck On Original Vinyl. There was a batch of writing personal these done by writing master thesis papers one person in the late 1990s now others are selling these on ebay which we find unacceptable. Writing Statements! They got original common vinyl by papers on narrative essays big Names, ie Beatles, Stones, Billy Fury etc and scanned up real demo labels from other less valuable records. They then carelessly used any modern font copied the wording on a computer artwork program printed them out. They then stuck them onto the original vinyl used a scalpel to cut out the push out centre area centre hole. This is the big giveaway: know the Font used, know UK Demos generally have labels pressed with the vinyl know the dodgy cut-out of the writing personal statements centre holes.
If we ever get any we smash them up so they are gone, but sadly these are still around one creep on on different, ebay got some idiot to pay ?100 for a fake Beatles PPM demo. Buyers of these items want an writing personal statements artifact know sod all about vinyl sadly are the victims of religions their own lack of knowledge. We knew one guy who bought some from this seller when it was just starting his scam was to price a ?100 demo for writing ?30, so the importance gullible-greedy buyer would jump at writing statements, such a big bargain not bother to check what the item really was. Naturally only inexperienced buyers would fall for it this person is importance for all still active on writing personal, ebay. If a UK Demo has an of education essay official Not For Sale white label with the personal statements Label name it will be pressed with the vinyl always.
The only exception were UK MGM who done odd Demos with basic details printed on the White demo label then had Pink MGM demo labels glued over. As these often come loose, look under you'll see the basic one. were never used before 1983 on records. Michael! Fax numbers were new in the 1980s website names in the later 1990s. of classic Studio One tracks look aged as they are poorly pressed on old equipment. The 'noise' on these repressings is actually from writing personal using the corroded copper plates raw, rather than preparing them first. Papers On Narrative Essays! The vinyl itself is not the noisy part, the personal statements noise is gaps in essay on article the record surface the verdigris (green copper rust) that the humidity creates on the copper. This is personal statements a Minefield too. For example, the Billy Fury 10 LP was originally a 1960 LP, a thick slab of vinyl, but it was reissued in writing papers 1982 on personal, a thinner pressing but official product so quality is good. Many will think their 31 years old one if not so new looking is real.
But the 1982 has 'LFT' as the catalog number and handwritten matrix numbers. The original has 'LF' and is machine stamped. Then Elvis 10 LPs were repressed in France as sort of bootlegs too: the Janis Elvis one you see forever relisted at a high price on ebay is one of collins these, there is writing a HMV Best Of Elvis too. These were sold shrinkwrapped, possibly with a Collector Issue note on it from 34 tfeu what we remember seing them sold as new on markets. Then there are more modern nasty fakes of Beatles Gold Please Please Me that will trap the unwary. Again, only writing personal statements Money items are faked.
Buying on ebay is not safe for the Artifact Buyer who doesn't know enough about Vinyl. Be sure, unless you buy from a dealer who has plenty of collins film Old Vinyl, that your ?100-?500 Bargain when they are ?1000 from writing others is a Fake. Thesis Myocardial Infarction! There are Fakes in writing any area of Collecting where Money Items are involved. Even in importance of education for all essay Hifi, you'd think no-one would Fake an personal statements Amplifier, but there are Official Collector's Editions of Quad, Marantz McIntosh as well as others possibly, but these are prestige items, but still the michael essay buyer may think they are getting a Vintage 1960s one. Learn your Subject. To say all USA records with them are original is wrong, as is saying all ZTSP with handwritten ones are fake. Writing Personal Statements! Early 50s RCA promos had handwritten matrixes whist the submitted myocardial issues had stamped ones. USA Columbia pressed vinyl or styrene have been seen with handwritten matrix numbers.
1970s Northern Soul repros of Lorenzo Manley and Fuller Brothers with stamped matrices but poor sound when compared to the originals shows they are duds, but you won't read that anywhere else. Writing Statements! The Lorenzo one cut lower much duller sounding is always passed off as an original! All well us saying these things, but what is a Matrix Number? It is a number-letter code on religions, the vinyl in statements the gap between the end of the michael music grooves the label edge. The term used for this space that has a spiral groove to activate an autochanger is statements 'Dead Wax' from the days of early 78s, or 'Run Out Area' for myocardial infarction other folks. Depending on the record company, eg Parlophone used 7XCE, Stateside used 45KR many others. The Matrix number is writing personal statements noted on the label too, eg Parlophone R5200 which is Beatles 'I Feel Fine' has the Catalog number R 5200 on the right of the label and master thesis, 7XCE 18171 on the left. Writing Personal Statements! The number stamped in the vinyl is importance of education 7XCE 18171-1N. Statements! Looking at for all essay, the record, assuming the matrix number is at the bottom, to personal, the left at 9 o'clock position is KT and essays, a number, to writing personal, the right at essays on different, the 3 o'clock position will be a code from the GRAMOPHLTD letters relating to personal statements, a number 1-9 0, eg R is 2. Master Thesis! Depending on how many copies sold how late your pressing is.
This may be G, GA or GOD as we had on one got a Tenner for it as someone liked that! On a Decca pressed record, eg London, eg 1962, you'll find a letter from BUCKINGHAM. Personal! If a Decca pressing has BH in thesis submitted one line it is the 18th one, if it has B with H below, ignore the H and writing, it's the 1st. Matrix numbers are generally unimportant despite the ebay BS hype, but they can be useful for research. Similarly the writing presence of this doesn't always mean the same either! This serrated 'grip' edge began on UK vinyl in writing statements early 1957 because popular cheap record players at essay, the time until the mid 80s were autochangers where you stacked up records played up to 8 records in one go, like a jukebox. From Dansettes to flimsy BSR turntables, the personal statements autochanger was rife. Submitted Myocardial! The serrated edge simply stopped the labels slipping spoiling the music. For this reason, HMV Elvis unless barely played have the serrated bit worn through to personal, the white base paper from michael collins film essay repeated playing. To confuse the issue, you find some USA records with serrated edges, not many, but look at writing, USA Capitol pressings from 1968-70s they have this so do a few originally USA-only Northern Soul repros pressed in writing the UK in the 70s, eg the Tommy Navarro one.
Several other countries adopted the serrated edge, from Singapore and Holland to India. Having said that, a UK record with the personal serrated edge can be looked on as 'official product' made between 1957 and thesis submitted infarction, 1984 . The presence of this or not is no clue to originality as many UK pressings are only recognisable as UK pressings by other features as often no country is stated. Personal Statements! Non UK pressed repros can still copy this text making confusion. is more for papers LP and EP buyers. Some early 50s EPs came without lamination, only to have later issues laminated. Lamination is a thin layer of writing personal plastic film attached permanently to usually only the front of a record sleeve to protect it. As years age the submitted infarction earliest ones, the glue has gone hard the lamination starts to crack peel. By circa 1969 it was common to see unlaminated sleeves by the 70s it was usual. See all the paper tears top right corner from careless sticker removal! Some earlier unlaminated UK ones had an odd varnish type covering, meaning if you remove dry tape marks with meths, off comes the statements printing too!
You may see a Velvett Fogg 1969 Pye LP with no lamination a barcode, we heard of a collector receiving one instead of the religions real one his money paid expected. This one relates to LPs mainly. Writing Personal! Some LPs had a flap of paper from the infarction front part of the cover bent over to glue to the back part creating a neat join. These are called flipback sleeves. The Decca pressed ones to about 1961 had a curved section cut out, to accomadate the shape of the personal statements vinyl put in thesis submitted the cover. After that it was just a plain strip.
By 1964-65 Decca pressings could have either a flipback or not as the flap is sealed inside the cover, not outside it randomly done so, neither early or late unless other factors showed otherwise. A 1959 LP with no flipback can be seen to be a 1965 or later issue, in those days some LPs stayed available for several years. Personal Statements! The 1965 press would have a subtly different label and pressing moulding. we've seen as a way to show the BS ebay seller had a rare export copy prices it to the unaware. Again look at thesis myocardial infarction, a large amount of UK vinyl covering 50s to 70s, and you'll see many EMI Decca pressed records often showing these letters.
All it means is the record could be exported to eg Holland be official product, based on statements, specific copyright terms. The fact it was sold in the UK means it's not a proper Export, only 34 tfeu those with alternate catalog numbers or different B sides are proper exports. Writing Personal! Cliff's Gee Whizz It's You was an essay export issue, as the catalog number shows, but it was also sold in the UK as it made the Top 10, despite not being an official UK release. The easy ones first: Oriole had some solid centres in 1962 as regular stock copies, nothing special. Oriole Contracts of 1963-64 Beatles on Parlophone exist but these are likely just test pressings only personal statements different by being solid centre. Whether any actualy sold for on article 34 tfeu ?500 asking prices is unlikely. Statements! Pye similarly done solid centres occasionally from 1960-69 with the earliest Lonnie Donegan Dustman from 1960, again nothing special.
EMI started in 1952 with large hole pressings, if the 4 prong centre was introduced mid 1953 continued until 1966. After this solid 4 prong centres are often found if some titles that didn't sell from 1967-69 will be only importance found with solid centres, eg Bobby Goldsboro Too Many People is only on solid centre as far as we know if the writing statements Demo is a pronged centre for jukeboxes. Collins! Big hits like Pink Floyd Emily are commonly found as either solid or pronged centre. Decca is the oddity here though. The first UK Decca 45s were the writing 45000 series export Blue Gold Decca in papers on narrative 1950 into the 900-1000 series London exports, some of which by writing 1954 had thick tri centres, if the USA type large centre. Tri centres changed from Aug 1954 Thick Tri to Jan 1955 Long Thin Tri to March 1955 standard Tri as on religions, the London pages, if dates are never precise. The Tri centre continued until March 1960 if Round centres started September 1959. Writing Statements! Round centres with 4 prongs are standard Decca style until 1980 when Polygran bought Decca. Every single Decca pressed 45 has a 4 prong centre. One sided Demos in the 1950s-1960 could be solid centre or tri centre, a mix of both even on the same A+B pair. Essays Religions! But there are Solid Centre Pressings made from 1955 to writing statements, at least 1964.
These are actually reject copies with rough edges trimmed with scissors, a centre hole but no centre shape for Tri or Round. Essays Religions! These we've had over the years they are usually poor grade look untidy so even having Gold London Bill Haley Fontane sisters, we didn't like them as they weren't real records. Writing Personal! But as RCA pressed Elvis Presley Rolling Stones who have a wide collector base, these rejects can be offered for ?100, again whether they sell is on narrative essays another thing as they look messy. But if colectors like them, prices rise, but we aren't sure anyone but the tiny few care once they have them there is no interest. All UK 45s from 1953 to 1980s have either with small LP-size centre holes, obvious exceptions are 1953 EMI, 1967-73 Polydor early 50s Decca exports, or those 1967 on that have been 'dinked' for writing personal statements a jukebox, as they were made with a solid centre: either roughly by a hand tool or by essay 34 tfeu a machine.
UK record centres: Decca used a triangle centre from 1954 to 1960. EMI used round centres 1953 onwards, after the few early large centre issues (see other pages of ours). All other labels used a 3-prong or 4-prong round centre that could be removed for jukeboxes or the early USA record players. There are also the jigsaw removable-replaceable centres too, see another page of ours - '50s Odd Centres'. A UK record with a centre is mistakenly called a 'Tri Centre' by some European sellers, unaware Tri means Triangle, rather than just any centre.
A restuck centre, often found with Tri Centres is only worth the same as a NO CENTRE record (or less if it was messily glued), ie 25%-75% of the writing statements with-centre copy. Stuck centres easily come out, ping one with your finger see it fly across the myocardial infarction room! Then put an adaptor in instead. maybe viewed with suspicion, as the general style of centre is the writing large jukebox middle. Not so, USA Columbia introduced a failed attempt to compete with RCA's 45rpm with their 33rpm 7, see the Tri Centres page for photos. Some were unfinished or factory-only test items, like the Okeh one, just like you see UK Gold London with solid centres oversized edges as untrimmed. You still see UK sellers saying a USA record is a NOC or 'no original centre', clearly unaware of the myocardial infarction history of the statements 45. The 33rpm Jukebox single from the early 60s with or without the thick card mini cover slicks is another example. 34 Tfeu! You rarely find a Jamaican early 60s issue with the solid centre a small LP size hole, these again are unfinished items.
Slade on 1970s Polydor are found as USA pressings with UK numbers solid centres. In the 1973-74 era with all the writing personal problems, contract pressings imported contract pressings are numerous, to the point some hits on the first press are USA import only, like David Bowie with Rebel Rebel, see elsewhere on our site. The presence of a proper one that is real, not just a printed part of the religions label design, means it is a genuine item, though it may be a much later pressing. Cutting out the area to make the centre a push-out one appears to be very expensive, so bootleggers don't bother. Personal! New Zealand pressings used a square centre for some years late 50s early 60s Japan used a shaped tri centre in a similar era.
But again, a few modern reissues or retro style releases are appearing with pronged centres. of a proper released record will be of some hifi quality. On Article 34 Tfeu! If it is boomy with little crispness like USA bootlegs of writing personal statements 50s music in the 70s taken from 78s, that's a big giveaway. Today vinyl repros get the noise digitally reduced. Having heard some, as always the michael film amateur has gone too far with the writing noise reduction settings lost the collins essay ambience from the music, making the music sound very unnatural. Mastering records listening through 6 speakers is a fool's game. A lot of the recent UK 60s Bootleg 45s are mastered much lower than the original 45. eg ^56778 on USA vinyl continued into personal statements, the 70s, so if your 50s/60s music record has one over approx ^90000 then it's a 70s repro. Some originals were pressed at submitted, Monarch in the USA in personal the 60s the repro/bootlegs were made there too years later. They are often styrene records, a harder type of vinyl that plays beautifully as regards surface noise on a high grade copy, but it can wear badly.
Early Delta numbers turn up on records 1954-55 and on vinyl. Some reissues, like the Buster Eddie on Class use the old metal stampers with the 1960s Delta, only the label colour difference gives it away. are scans or photocopies, though today's printing techniques can be very advanced. Importance Of Education Essay! Some recreate the typeface in a modern similar font and others add numbers or wording to writing personal statements, the original scanned design which helps show the reissue from the real. can be a good clue too, as can the texture. An original will always be on on narrative essays, a better quality paper with a crisper typeface with no blurring.
A very modern repro will still get things wrong: those 60s Beat repros get the writing statements Pye pink very wrong as they are just scans as earlier were photocopies*. Of course, some will use much higher resolution paperwork but even then, you can't match the vinyl even if the film essay labels are 99% perfect. Writing Personal Statements! * It appears we must add that the image of the original is scanned or photocopied then printed on typical paper ink. Photocopy paper is dust that is heat bonded and essay on article 34 tfeu, is never used raw. Only the source image is writing derived from submitted myocardial a photo, scan or photocopy . The usual way for a UK 45 to have it's label applied is having it pressed into the vinyl when made. This means you cannot pick it away at the edge it does not lay above the surface. Certain USA labels always used a stuck-on label, eg Styrene always had a stuck-on label applied with glue. Later Styrene pressings had ink printed directly onto writing personal statements, the blank label are with no paper. Papers! A basic rule is a Vinyl pressed record (ignoring acetates) will have a pressed-on label. Exceptions include small-run private type labels, eg the early 1965-66 Blue Horizon.
Any Decca sporting a stuck-on Demo label is highly likely to be fake, although again some exceptions regarding test pressings allowed these fakes to personal, get accepted. Any record with the centre prongs showing in the label area will be precisely cut as they were cut whilst the vinyl was being pressed. This gets a little tricky, as hinted already, as you see blank white label or blank record company logo labels with applied sticker labels showing info. This applies to essay, the Beatles Apple Demos, which are fairly glossy blank white labels with an Apple label stuck over. You can find standard stock copies of a wide range of labels with added Emidisc or similar labels, these are genuine, but the statements ease of thesis submitted adding such should not make them hugely valuable, more like a nice issue defaced! Another exception as mentioned already, is MGM by 1967 it became independently pressed in the UK (by EMI still, in plain white sleeves), the Demos here are plain white with basic details printed on the labels, but oddly a more typical pink MGM demo label stuck over! Confusing is the word.
used is a vague one, though see a Sun 45 with a too-modern looking crisp font it's a modern (80s on) repro. Modern Soul repros make little attempt to copy the personal statements original label. Importance! Oddly a 1928 RCA Victor Blues 78 with it's plain font looks much newer than it is. Writing! Overall, experience is what gets you picking original from writing master thesis papers repro. added to ordinary records, or even old ones added to statements, repro ones! Even old ones soaked from cheapo 45s to essays on different, add onto writing personal statements, a Beatles makes a ?5 record a ?40 one, what a bargain. These silly items are created to make an ordinary item appear special to novices thinking they are getting a Beatles Demo or similar on the cheap. Genuine EMI, Decca or Philips group sample stickers are easy to tell once you've seen some the positioning of importance of education essay them will be apparent after seeing a large amount.
No EMI sticker will turn up on a Decca record a 70s EMI one won't be on writing personal statements, a mid 60s EMI. Thesis! EMI ones were of one sort then a later sort appeared. Personal! Does it matter? No. Importance Essay! Is it Worth More? Not in The Real World. Statements! It's a gummed label like a stamp.
It can be used to michael essay, cover a tear or writing explaining the odd positions you see them put in. It's easily transferred should add NOTHING to writing personal statements, the value in the real world, a thing ebay clearly isn't. Pay ?. for a Beatles Factory Sample and then try to sell it yourself. A Factory Sample Sticker is WORTHLESS! It's a Factory Test Sample or a cheap way of doing a Promo. Writing Master Papers! Only a clearly different label design maybe in White with a big A and a Release Date denotes a proper Demo. An Oriole demo from 1962 will just have a silver A on the centre of statements one side, unlike earlier later white demos. Writing Master Thesis Papers! A UK Sue 45 with a Black rectangle is writing NOT a Demo, all the rectangle does is cover Sue Records USA on 45s 'licensed' from other labels. On Different! If you still think it is, then no-one will mind charging you extra! Some records only writing exist as Stock Copies with Factory Samples ie TMG 525 is not on collins film, a RW Demo, adding a sticker does not make ?100 into ?200, unless you are gullible. The big pre mid 1965 Fontana sample stickers actually look ugly the writing record looks better without it as it's worth no difference unless the on article 34 tfeu HN JP ones are hyped.
fake '60s' acetates, faked items using old blank labels from writing statements 1940s 78 acetates stuck onto a Beatles record some fool pays ?150 for it. Film! Computer printed demo labels stuck onto statements, regular issues and badly cut out around the centre pushout. Writing Master Thesis Papers! These fake items created to trap the unaware buyer thinking it's a bargain or something special. The buyers as evidenced by ebay feedback shows they aren't Record Buyers, but are after a piece of Memorabilia that is rare but have no knowledge of really what they are buying. The rule here is it's not worth anything more than a standard copy if it basically looks like a standard copy. Only proper printed Demo or Promo labels are something special, as are Acetates. An oddity is with some Australian promos: the added-on Demo sticker is stuck on the label BEFORE pressing. Personal! Removal or falling-off results in a dip in the vinyl as the sticker was originally level with the rest of the papers label, rather than raised as a later added one would be. is another one to writing, look out myocardial for.
Any repro made since the 80s will not have the deep 'mono' grooves cut like an original has. 70s repros still used older machinery so other signs must be checked. is not too helpful, those unplayed 50s Savoy stock look too new but are real early pressings, as do unplayed boxes of UK Blue Beat Wynonie Harris EPs. Similarly a scuffy or scratched disc with a worn label may easily be a repro aged up, but for personal statements it to 'sell' only big ?? items would be aged up. of older music often means a 70s press especially if the music is playing in Mono, look at on different religions, your yellow Epic copy of personal Vibrations 'Cause You're Mine' with Stereo added then you'll see it's an early 70s press, not the papers 1969 one which had narrower smaller typeface! Stereo 45s do exist from 1958, but will be easily proved originals from other factors. is of no use to decide if real or not, ignore those tedious ebay BS dealers saying 'original thick vinyl'. Personal Statements! A 1949 USA RCA 45 is on thin vinyl as is a 1956 one.
A UK 1957 RCA is on thicker vinyl. A 1966 Blue Beat is on the thickest heavy vinyl you will find, they are Orlake pressings. A 1958 HMV LP is a strong heavy piece of vinyl, yet some 1972-3 UK RCA LPs are so thin like a flexi. A thick heavy record with a silvery aluminium core seen through the centre is an essay 34 tfeu Acetate can be genuine factory items with rare tracks, or especially in the early days of the Northern Soul scene, just a privately cut track for personal statements DJ use of no real value as a genuine studio acetate can have. 34 Tfeu! Be aware a 60s track with felt tip pen writing is not an old one! Handwritten biro, or ink on the earlier ones are likely to be genuine. There are Fake Acetates of Rare Tracks we see occasionally on ebay.
If it has no proper label, a 1960s track with felt tip details or just is too high grade, be Very Suspicious of it. Acetates last for personal statements decades, as you'd not see any if they didn''t, making a nonsense of the fragile not long lasting comments. You occasionally see 'Big Money' USA Northern Soul tracks cut back to back on writing thesis papers, one acetate. These are items a DJ made himself in the 1970s just to be able to play it and personal statements, as it's 100% unofficial as well as the master papers sound quality usually being awful, they are not worth more than ?10 as curios. Of course there are Genuine Acetates of 60s Soul, but as with any acetate, there are clues. These soul acetates can be crudely made, or nicely typed up on EMIDISC labels as one PP Arnold Everything's one was with a totally unrelated B side. Writing Personal Statements! One 'expert' was happy to sell it giving the idea by association with other items that it was a 1960s original studio made one a buyer was happy to thesis myocardial, pay silly money, nearly ?150 for personal statements an unofficial item, not a fake was a 1970s item, but little different from a home tape.
This same 'expert' had an extremely dodgy Beatles Faked Demo that he was quite indignant in us questioning him on, as some other 'expert' had confirmed it was 'real' so how dare we question. Buyer beware is all you can say to that, keep it happily for 20 years then find out the importance of education essay truth. There are quite a lot of Unissued Motown tracks turning up with 'Recoat' on the labels, these were rejected official items meant for reuse, but with so much Unissued Motown on CD now vinyl, these tracks no doubt will be faked up similarly. For the writing personal statements risk of collins getting silly, it can be a clue, but be aware how many smokers there were until recent years. Writing Personal! A smoky smelling record may not be that old, but to michael film essay, tell if Sleeves are old, if they smell musty that is a clue of age, but not a sure one.
If the vinyl has an obvious new plastic smell or a repro sleeve lacks crispness in personal statements the printing but gives you a paper cut it is likely a modern one. Repro 7 sleeves have been around years now can look old at a glance, but the essay on article blurry print or modern typeface added to recreate them gives it away. They often come apart as the seams are poorly glued. was a UK Billy Fury Export EP, the 'Play It Cool' one. The catalog number of personal both as RC shows is identical, yet the cover is the clear steep difference in value. Now a seller had a repro cover and offered the standard record inside it. The sleeve remember was a repro of no collector value. Yet excited (foolish) ebayers paid ?50 for it? Eh?
Duh more like. ?10 the record ?40 for essays on different religions a repro sleeve. Keeps us in the know smiling! Special AKA Gangsters was a huge hit rightly so. The majority are on paper labels worth no more than ?6, the only rarity is the handstamped sleeve, which has been repro'd and also the silver ink later 1980 press label for writing completists. The RC TT1-3 being rare is writing master papers nonsense, the writing personal majority have this, so a ?6 record in reality. The first pressings are by thesis submitted myocardial Rough Trade via CBS and you'll find EMI Pye contract pressings too as demand was high. Now here's the thing: Pye vinyl was black in normal light, but from personal statements 1972-1980ish some held up to a light it shines varied shades of red.
Hold it up to the light black vinyl becomes red. BFD. Of Education For All! So the writing statements silly seller who backlit his to make the pic look fully red will have a buyer expecting it to look red in on narrative daylight, as red vinyl suggests. In reality, the Pye contract is more common than the EMI one seller tried a similar game for months to statements, get ?20 for his to no avail. OK, we're having a laugh here apparently, all MP3s can be faked to thesis myocardial infarction, oblivion as can any home made MP3 from the personal statements original vinyl.
A MP3 looks like nothing, as nothing it is, it is virtual if your hard drive, iPod or dongle with the track on dies, so does the download! How silly you were not to keep 25 backups! But there really are fake MP3 downloads hiding as zip files with nasty .exe viruses in them on these dodgy peer to peer sites, so all here is not in vain. An area of Collecting where FAKE is Exceedingly likely to submitted myocardial, the point of Guaranteed Fake. One seller on ebay we noticed with 12 records with many name artists having signed the vinyl! Bullshit! No way would the owner carry round 12 records genuinely to a gig then get the personal artist or group to sign the item so steadily! Bullshit 2! Those Silver pens are only film good for personal a short time before the point clogs take a while to start if at all. No way would the writing papers pen be ready working perfectly each time in a rushed situation. Personal Statements! Look at their ended items.
60+ items all signed very similarly. It would take years in reality, or 20 minutes to fake. Religions! There are so many gullible buyers thinking at personal, a bargain price it'll do. You've been conned! You see Pawn Stars on the History Channel, see how Rick buys, he's sharp like us. They either pay no extra for on different the signature or need full COA proof. Writing Statements! The experts they pull in have much knowledge will have pictures of original signatures take more than 20 seconds screen time to confirm, if one they've stopped using now. THE ART OF LIVING. Hi, I am Mansi.
I am a 16-year-old girl. Let me tell you an interesting story. A man walked on the roof of a forty-story building. He accidentally fell off the roof. As he passed the seventeenth floor, a person inside the building yelled out a question: “How’s it going?” The man answered back: “So far, so good!” We may find this story amusing because we know what is coming—the ground. On Narrative Essays? One moment, he will be alive, and the next moment, he will be dead. My point in telling this story is we are all falling. The ground is coming for all of us. One moment, we will be alive, and the next moment, we will be dead. This is probably the most sobering fact of conscious existence. The key to happiness in personal, our lives is to learn how to collins, enjoy the trip.
To do this, we’d better learn to writing, master the “art of living,” that is, staying in the moment. I love to thesis submitted myocardial infarction, surf the writing personal statements, net and explore. Once, I came upon a few words said by Sri Ravi Shankar-“What is the Art of Living? “Be in the present moment. If you live fully now, tomorrow will take care of itself. If you are happy now, the essay on article 34 tfeu, past will not torment you. That is the art of Living.”.
How true! Happy is a person who knows what to remember of the past , what to enjoy in the present and personal what to plan for of education, the future. One of statements, my friends once messaged me as follows-“When you run so fast to get somewhere, you miss the papers essays, fun of getting there. Life is not a race, so take it slower. Hear the music before the song is over”. I feel that there are five keywords to learn the art of living. Firstly, one needs to acquire peace of mind. Everyone seeks peace and harmony, because this is what we lack in our lives.
From time to time we all experience agitation, irritation, disharmony. Unhappiness permeates the atmosphere around someone who is miserable, and those who come in writing statements, contact with such a person also become affected. Certainly this is not a skillful way to live. We ought to live at peace with ourselves, and at peace with others. The technique of self-observation, is what is called Vipassana meditation, helps to develop the essay, peace of personal, mind. In the language of India in the time of the writing master thesis, Buddha, passana meant seeing in the ordinary way, with one's eyes open; but vipassana is observing things as they actually are, not just as they appear to statements, be. We become liberated from misery and experience true happiness. Secondly, one must always learn to be happy. We become unhappy when we find someone behaving in a way that we don't like, or when we find something happening which we don't like. Unwanted things happen and we create tension within. Now, one way to essays, solve this problem is to personal statements, understand that if the myocardial, pressures in life are crushing you down, think of the writing personal statements, crushed grapes that produce the best wine.
Let the importance for all essay, pressures in life bring the best in you. Thirdly, one must learn to forgive and keep going on and on. We love ourselves even after doing many mistakes. Then how can we hate others for their one mistake? Seems strange, but true. Think before you hate someone…. Writing Personal? The power of a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment or the importance of education, smallest act of caring has the potential to turn a life around. Next, keep yourself going on. When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, when the road you are trudging seems uphill, when stress is pressing you down a bit, rest if you must but never quit. Anyone can give up. It’s the easiest thing to do.
But to writing, hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that’s true strength. Fourthly, one must always keep a positive outlook towards life. Life is a movie you see through your own eyes .It doesn’t matter what is happening out there. It‘s how you take it that counts. Hope yours is a blockbuster. One should never forget that –“If Winter Comes, Can Spring Be Far Behind?” Remember, smooth roads never make good drivers .A problem free life never makes a person strong. So, never ask life’ Why Me?’ Instead challenge it and essay 34 tfeu say ‘Try Me’. Faith makes all things possible, hope makes all things work and love makes all things beautiful. If you believe you can, you will.
If you believe you can’t, you won’t. Belief is an writing statements ignition that gets you off the launching pad. Believe in yourself! Last but not the least, set your goal and work hard to achieve it. Use our thoughts about the future to set goals and make plans. Then return to the present to carry through with our plans.
